We’re excited to be going to France this December with our new friends Guerilla Poubelle! Check out the dates through the link on the left. Apparently, we’re going to be spending New Year’s in a commune village. Haha..
“I always think you’ll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.”
A few weeks back we spent a week at Iona’s parents’ place writing three songs for a split that we recorded the following weekend. The split’s with one of our favourite UK bands and while there’s some mixing still to be done, it’s sounding pretty sweet and I can’t wait to release it.
Later this month we’ll do the biggest thing we’ve ever done, and something not so much as a dream as something I genuinely couldn’t imagine myself doing: play Reading & Leeds festival on The Lock Up Stage. Thank you to Mike Davies at Radio 1 for putting our name in the hat and giving us the chance to come out feeling like fucking winners. If we never do anything again with our silly punk rock band that does everything last minute and relies solely on the help of all our friends, I’ll be a happy to simply be a name on that big yellow and red poster.
This weekend we’re doing two shows in the south west:
Sat 10 August – White Rabbit, Plymouth (facebook event pahlease)
Sun 11 August – Boardmasters Festival, Newquay (on at 12.30pm, Mavericks Stage)
See you then,
Our live session for Mike Davies’ punk rock show will air tonight from midnight on Radio 1 right here. We played a few tracks including Back To Hackney, In My Head, Waster and Letting Go from our new album ‘Like I Belong’, released last month.
Thanks to Steve Apostates for taking these snaps, Will Hatt for the keys, and Sam / Willis for the horns.

We’ve got a new record out!
This May we’re touring the UK to celebrate, check out the dates below -
The Manchester show is now at Star & Garter, and there’s more info on shows to come which we’ll be shouting about.
Til then, we’re playing Hit The Deck Festival on April 20/21 in Bristol and Nottingham which should be fun.
Our new song Back To Hackey is now available as a single download here.
I write from the current GCHQ of Exeter, Devon. After finishing recording Like I Belong around here at Peter Miles’ studio, I kind of just never left. The Cavern is awesome, it’s nice being out in the countryside and you can travel 40 minutes to find somewhere to surf. Devon is a good place to be right now.
After putting the first song we’ve released from Like I Belong up on YouTube (listen to In My Head here), we’re doing a video for another song off the record this coming week. Patrick James Pearson - who played keys on the record – will be filming it, so I have full faith that it’ll come out looking lovely.
A couple of weeks ago I finished up an acoustic tour with Sam Russo, El Morgan, Helen Chambers, Kelly Kemp and Roo from Bangers. All of those guys are amazing and it was a blast to hang out with them. The shows were awesome and each night I just wanted to watch everyone else play. Solo yolo, man. If you haven’t picked it up yet, check out the first Darlington Sessions record featuring new songs from Kelly, Roo and myself from Banquet Records right here. I’m proud to be part of such a fun/weird sounding record. Weird in the best way possible.
We’re working out pre-orders for Like I Belong right now. I’m excited!
